Yes. Contracts are free for everyone while they're in beta, on top of everything in the Free plan. No credit card needed.

Can clients sign contracts online?

Yes. You send one link, and your client reads the contract, types their full legal name, agrees to the terms, and signs. They don't need an account, and you can see when they've viewed and signed it.

Can I use my own contract?

Yes. Start from the Service Agreement template, or upload your own contract as a .txt or .md file. You can edit it in Brisk, then sign and send it.

Can I ask for a deposit before work starts?

Yes. Set a deposit as 25%, 50%, or 100% of the fee, or as a fixed amount. Brisk can create the deposit invoice once the contract is signed.

How do I know when a contract is signed?

Each contract shows its signature status for you and your client, with the send date, when it was first viewed, and when each side signed. Your contracts list shows whether each one is a draft, sent, viewed, accepted, or canceled.

The Service Agreement is available now, written for freelance design, development, and consulting work. An NDA and a Subcontractor Agreement are coming soon.

Service Agreement

This Service Agreement is entered into between Marissa Kim Design (“Service Provider”) and Brightside Bakery (“Client”).

1. Scope of work

Brand system for Brightside Bakery, including discovery, a logo suite, and visual guidelines.

3. Payment terms

Invoices are due within 14 days of issue. A 50% deposit is required before work begins.

Ownership of final deliverables transfers to the Client upon full payment.
